About two years ago, Gallivan started searching for someone to take over his agency. He had five prospects, but Lofboom rose to the top, as the two have a lot in common. They were both raised on farms and worked with a lot of the same insurance carriers. “Overall, Joe hit the key …” Gallivan said. Lofboom grew up in Harris, near North Branch, Minnesota, on a hobby farm. He attended St. John’s University to pursue a degree in business management. “I don’t know if anyone really grows up and says ‘I want to be an insurance agent,’” Lofboom explained. “I knew I wanted to own a business, that was my main thing … I really like helping people, so I wanted to be in an industry that I can help people. That’s kind of our job as agents, to educate people.” Lofboom comes from a family full of teachers, so his calling to educate people may not be far off the mark. Fun Fact— Gallivan actually had Lofboom’s uncle, Dennis Lofboom, as a teacher in eighth grade.

MEET OUR TEAM
Joe is the Owner of Lofboom Insurance Agency and has been a licensed agent since 2012. With a degree in business management and a passion for helping people, Joe found his way into the insurance industry. Joe founded Lofboom Insurance Agency in 2017 and became a part of the Smart Choice Agency Network with over 8,000 agents nationwide. Today Lofboom Insurance Agency is in the top 1% of all Smart Choice Agencies across the country. Joe credits his work ethic and values to his small-town upbringing on the family farm in Harris, MN. He brings these values and approach to every interaction and is eager to meet you and your family.
Brittany is the Office Manager of Lofboom Insurance Agency. She has been a licensed agent since March of 2012. Brittany worked at captive agencies for 8 years before moving to Lofboom Insurance in November of 2020. She enjoys helping clients and excels at customer service. She has also organized many community events such as blood drives and collecting toys at Christmas for local families in need.
Outside of work Brittany is a wife and mother to 2 boys. She owns and operates a fashion truck that keeps her busiest during the summertime. She also enjoys photography, music, and spending time with friends, family, and her cat.
Julie is the office manager at our Hugo, MN office and has worked in the insurance industry since 1989. Julie started her insurance career on the captive agency side with Farmers Insurance and American Family before she decided to take on a new role with Gallivan Insurance Agency. She has been with the Gallivan Insurance Agency for over 30 years and really enjoys working with the people in our area and helping them with all their insurance needs. In June of 2021, Gallivan Insurance Agency became Lofboom Insurance Agency and Julie has been a vital member of our team ever since. Outside of work Julie enjoys spending time with her husband at car shows and her daughter at horse shows. She also enjoys camping with her family and friends.
